On April 24 in Rome at the Flexi Library opens the exhibition of photographs of the group Jemma Temp, a project of pornography independent queer born in 2006 and developed on the trajectories of the language of video, photographic and performative.
The research aims to build the space-time where the image is a work-performing open-or is defined by the intervention of outside elements, unexpected and random. The performative character and actions of the photo set was created by the interventions that Jemma Temp has organized several parties who experiment on gender issues and sexual orientation. These include primarily Phag Off , which hosted all sets of Jemma Temp since its inception, but also Subwoofer , Sick Marylin and Carniscelte of Bologna. In happenings inspired by the surreal and metaphysical themes and dresscodes evenings, the stars, actors, models and improvised models / and generate unforeseen situations even for the photographers, shifting and multiplying their self-perception through the randomness of the moment performative, exciting game that becomes self-exposure and the collapse of the stylistic features of the traditional rules of representation and of being in a space-time of free evolution.
